SOWK 562 CLINICAL SKILLS WITH ADDICTIVE FAMILIES

Course examining chemical dependency and other addiction-related problems in the family. Includes study of compulsive behaviors such as overeating, workaholism, relationship addictions, etc. Course integrates recent knowledge from the field of addictions with solution-focused family therapy to enhance the practitioner’s clinical skills with addictive families. Prerequisite: SOWK 541, SOWK 527 or permission of the instructor.
