SOWK 545 ADVANCED PRACTICE WITH COUPLES AND FAMILIES

Second in a 2-course sequence of couple and family therapy interventions. Presents second-wave cybernetic approaches and postmodern influences in the field of couples and family therapy presented. Emphasizes theory-guided and evidence based models of therapy and the practice of family therapy as distinct from case management. Course includes practice skills lab. Prerequisites: Advanced Standing, SOWK 534, or permission of the instructor. (Course fees apply)
